Standing on the south bank of the Black Volta River near Bui Village, looking north-northwest. Thick riparian forest is visible on the river' s north bank. The area between Bui Village and the river was the site of a 19th-century village, Bui Kataa. This area was flooded by the rising waters of Bui Lake as it formed behind Bui Dam after 2012.
