I have not seen the Gazette, but understand that members of the Chinese Nationalist League are liable to arrest, and that membership applies retrospectively from the time the war started. If needed I will send photos of it to you, but as it is extremely difficult to secure fresh copies I am not risking sending them ever now. These photos were published by the Chinese Nationalist League last year when they were celebrating their Fifth Anniversary There are about 140 of them.
No steps have been taken here yet as regards the taking down of the sign of the Chinese Nationalist League, and if it is intended to take preceedings against the editor and Directors of the New Republic for printing the various articles in your possession contrary to the new order-in-council, and after they had acknowledged that they were aware of it and the terms of it as printed in the "Times of 26th September, then it may be advisable to watch the movements of the leaders and staff of the New Republic. I would not be surprised if some of them skip.
I would call attention to the existance of the auxilliary society and the new "Commercial Company" now starting in Vancouver and elsewhere.
