溫建功在温市南區掀起熱潮
在香港受了一輩子殖民教育的人，往往談政色變；在大陸受了一輩子驚濤駭浪的人，常常談政色變；在台灣受了一輩子諸多制肘的人，每每談政色變。這些人雖來了加拿大，也絕口不談政治，甚至以此為標榜。因為他們的命運，實在被政治支配得太久了！
人是政治動物，有社會就有政治，有組織自然有政治；人是支配環境的動物，有意向有力量去改變自己的環境。進一步亦有意向和力量去為自己的命運而奮鬥，不會長期被命運所支配。
尤其是中國人，在數千年前就有這種見解。書經太甲說：「自求多福」就是這個道理。
加拿大是個先進的民主國家，你有權利為自己的前途、為自己的子孫自求多福。最直接的方法就是選出一個合你心意的政綱，再揀上一位議員代表你在國會裡爭取一切。今日就是時候了！
加拿大經濟看來在復甦之中，可是並不見得怎麼好。主要原因是滿身國債，政府為了應付二十五年前淘空了的國庫，今天每分鐘就要負上六萬五千四百五十元之鉅的國債，換句話說，滴答一聲，全國就要加添國貨一千大元。你和我的肩膊上都負上了二萬元的債項，這是往日當權政黨的遺害, 禍延子孫！要改善這種窘苦，今日是時候了。
聯邦保守黨首領改選的渥太華會場，擺放了我們溫哥華帶去的國債大鐘， 提醒會員他們的政綱就是致力消除國債。那麼，誰人替我們華裔移民開口説話？今天是時候了。
誰來替我們去爭取？誰肯花精神去爭取？誰會花時間去為我們爭取？誰關心我們的切身問題？誰去當先頭步隊？今日就是時候了。
這人就是——溫建功醫生！
溫建功在溫哥華南區發動競選保守黨國會議員候選人的行動，僅短短兩週，立即掀起一陣大熱潮，十多天居然號召二千人參加，這速率和增幅是前所未有。反映出華裔市民或移民，對政治絕不冷感。他們久被壓抑的力量，全被釋放了出來，多麽强大！
可是單入了會作精神支持是不夠的，一定要臨場參與，親身去投票，因爲對手亦有同等數量的擁護者，如果少一個人就少一票，在勢均力敵的情況下，決不能輕敵，我們既然支持溫建功，就要支持到底。在六月十七日(星期四)下午七時半之前，帶同入會證，一款有相片的證明文件(如駕駛執照等)和一款有地址證明的文件(如税單等)，親到貿易會議中心(即五帆酒店)參加投票。
請大家切記，一定去投票，一定要準時到達，因爲遲到不能投票，前功盡廢。

Wen Jiangong Created a New Phenomenon at the South of Vancouver
Those who received colonial education for their whole lives in Hong Kong are usually afraid to talk about politics. Those who experienced the perilous situations throughout their lives in Mainland China are usually afraid to talk about politics. Those who had various restrictions for the most of their lives in Taiwan are usually afraid to talk politics. All these groups are reluctant to talk politics. They are even proud of it when they come to Canada, because politics has played with their destinies for a long time.
However, human beings are political creatures. There have been politics as long as there have been societies or organizations. Human beings are creatures that change the environment. They have the intentions and the strength to do so. Furthermore, they have the intentions and the strength to fight for their destinies instead of surrendering their values for a long time.
Especially for the Chinese, the idea can be traced back to more than one thousand years ago. In the Book of History, the King Taijia said “the ones who depend on themselves will have more luck.” It says about the same thing.
Canada is a democratic country. People have the right to “seek good luck” for their own future and for their kids. The most direct way is to choose a political party that meets your needs, and then pick a member to represent you in the Congress to fight for everything. Today is the time!
The Canadian economy seems to be recovering, but it is not necessarily in a good state. The main reason is governmental debt. In order to maintain the treasury that was emptied twenty-five years ago, the government has to bear a debt that accrues $65,450 for every minute passed today. In other words, with each tick of the minute hand, the national debt increases by more than one thousand dollars. You and I have to bear a debt of 20,000 dollars on our shoulders. This is the legacy of the party that was in power in the past, and it is a disaster for the later generations! Today is the time to change the situation.
At the Ottawa venue for re-electing the leader of the Conservative Party, a huge national-debt clock that we brought to Vancouver was placed. This is to remind members that the key is to eliminate national debts. Thus, who will speak for our Chinese immigrants? Today is the time [to decide].
Who will fight for us? Who is willing to spend their energy to fight? Who will take the time to fight? Who cares about our issues close to our everyday life? Who is going to take the lead? Today is the time [to decide].
This person is Dr. Wen Jiangong.
Dr. Wen Jiangong decided to join the campaign for the Conservative candidates of the senator election. His action has caused a large phenomenon in the South of Vancouver within two weeks. More than 20,000 people have participated in a dozen days. The speed of expansion is unprecedented. It shows that the Chinese Canadian citizens and immigrants are by no means indifferent to politics. The strength that was suppressed for a long time has erupted. See how powerful it is.
It is not enough to just attend meetings to show spiritual support. [We] should also participate by voting. Because our opponents have the same number of supporters as us, if one person does not vote, one vote is missing. We cannot underestimate our opponents, especially when the parties are evenly matched. So we should not only support Dr. Wen, but also continue to support him until the very end. Before 7:30 pm on Thursday June 17th, please bring your ticket for the meeting, one identification document with a photo (such as a driver’s licence), and one document with your address (such as a tax receipt) to the Trade Conference Center (Pan-Pacific Vancouver Hotel) to cast your vote.
