Stories of Young Immigrants 8 items
In the 1990s, the World Journal newspaper had a column called “Xiao yimin chengzhang zhi lu” [The Story of Young Immigrants]. For this column, journalists interviewed selected adults who immigrated to Canada with their families at a young age and focused on their developmental paths. The interviewees, who usually had successfully re-established their lives in Canada, talked about how they dealt with challenges such as language barriers, cultural differences, potential discrimination, and other issues. These stories may prove interesting or insightful for young Chinese immigrants in Canada in the modern day.
